BE-A AI receptionist supports hotels in streamlining guest communications amid staffing pressures.
As guest expectations for rapid responses continue to grow, many hotels are exploring new ways to manage increasing volumes of enquiries across email, messaging platforms and telephone channels.
At the same time, hospitality businesses continue to face ongoing staffing challenges, placing additional pressure on front office teams responsible for maintaining service standards while handling guest communications efficiently.
One solution being adopted by some operators is BE-A, an AI-powered guest communication platform developed specifically for the hospitality sector. Described as a Front Office Operating System, the platform brings together guest conversations from multiple channels into a single interface, helping hotels maintain continuity throughout the guest journey while automating routine administrative tasks.
The technology is designed to support hotel teams by handling repetitive enquiries and reservation-related processes, allowing staff to focus on more complex guest interactions and service delivery. BE-A is designed to support faster enquiry handling, direct booking opportunities and more consistent front office workflows.
According to data shared by the company, hotels using the platform have reported significant reductions in response times. One property cited a decrease in average response times from more than three and a half hours to nine minutes, alongside an increase in direct bookings over a two-month period.
The platform also supports guest engagement through channels including WhatsApp, email and web chat, with the aim of helping hotels respond to enquiries more quickly and encouraging direct booking opportunities. Another hotel group reported increases in direct bookings while reducing the volume of communications handled by front desk teams.
In addition to written communication channels, the system includes BE-A Voice, an AI-powered telephone assistant capable of answering calls, responding to common guest enquiries and transferring calls to hotel staff when required. The technology is intended to help hotels maintain responsiveness during busy periods, overnight hours and times of reduced staffing.
BE-A is currently being implemented at a number of hospitality businesses across the UK, including the venue for our recent Above & Beyond, the Sunborn London Yacht Hotel and Weetwood Hall Estate Hotel.
