In addition to promoting internationally recognised quality standards in training and training delivery, endorsement supports labour mobility and global recruitment. Endorsement of professional development training programmes also assists providers in the continuous development, enhancement and improvement of their programmes and quality management systems.
The Institute of Hospitality's Professional Endorsement recognises a wide range of training programmes and learning products that support professional development in the hospitality, leisure, tourism, and events sectors. Eligible programmes include:

The Professional Review Panel undertakes a virtual endorsement review process providing independent expert evaluation. This approach does not require a visit to the provider, enabling a more cost-effective quality enhancement and recognition service.
Programmes are normally endorsed for a maximum period of two years, after which renewal is required to maintain endorsed status.
