Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 begins today (11 May), and at a time when many hospitality businesses continue to face difficult trading conditions, workforce pressures and redundancies, the Institute’s Mental Health at Work Toolkit, developed in partnership with Mind, remains a valuable free resource to access.
The toolkit, available to both members and non-members, includes advice on recognising stress, supporting colleagues, financial wellbeing, creating healthier workplace cultures, and introducing positive mental health practices across teams.
Robert Richardson FIH MI, CEO of the Institute of Hospitality, said: “Hospitality is built on people, yet many across our industry continue to face significant pressures both personally and professionally. It is important that individuals know support is available and that conversations around mental health continue to be encouraged openly and positively across our workplaces.”
Providing practical support and guidance for hospitality professionals at every stage of their career, the resource forms part of the Institute’s wider commitment to supporting the well-being, resilience and long-term development of people across the industry.
