To conclude the Institute of Hospitality’s 85-year anniversary celebrations, it has launched its biggest-ever global membership survey.
Covering a wide range of questions, it will be the first-time members will be able to put forward their collective views on such topics as, member discounts, professional resources, events, webinars, communication channels, including the ‘I’m In’ monthly podcast, now listened to in over 50 countries, and its popular Institute of Hospitality Magazine. It will also offer members the opportunity to put forward their own ideas for future initiatives.
As IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI commented: “This is a significant piece of work, and we sincerely hope that our 15,000+ global membership will embrace this opportunity and take part in this confidential survey. Our goal is to ensure our members receive great value from their professional body, and this survey provides a great opportunity for their voices to be heard.”
IoH Head of Marketing Kim Bailey MIH who is leading the project said: “This is the first time the Institute has canvassed its members views on so many aspects of its work. Continuing to build our IoH brand to ensure it remains relevant, engaging, and inspiring goes hand-in-hand with developing our membership proposition. Feedback from our membership is essential to help us achieve this, so I hope we will be inundated with replies.”
The ‘Big 85 Year IoH Membership Survey’, which is hosted independently on the Gather research platform, will be the benchmark for the IoH’s annual membership survey in future years.
The survey opens on Monday 4 December 2023 for members’ views only and closes on Wednesday 31 January 2024. The findings will be published on the Institute’s website and to its members in early 2024.
Look out for the email with the survey link in your inbox, from Monday 4 December 2023.
