We are very excited to announce the Semi-Finalists for the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year Competition 2020.
Ten exceptional Restaurant Managers have made it through to the Semi-Final stage and they will compete on Monday 6 January 2020 at The Savoy, London.
The Semi-Finalists are:

Tom Hanlon – Northcote Manor Hotel & Spa, Blackburn
Tom Husted – Dakota Hotel, Manchester
Alexandros Kaloudas – Hilton London Bankside, London
Raminta Mackeviciute – Ivy Brasserie, Cobham
Ewelina Matysiewicz – Chino Latino, Park Plaza Riverbank, London
Stefano Meloni – TOZI at Park Plaza, London
Alessandro Orru – Hide Ground, London
Gianluca Rizzo – Simpsons Restaurant, Birmingham
The ten Semi-Finalists will gather on 6 January 2020 at The Savoy, London for a day of interviews, tests and practical tasks. Their skills and professionalism will be judged and scored by the panel of judges.
The four top scoring competitors will then go through to the Final which takes place in front of a live audience of invited guests and industry experts. The result will be announced at the Winner’s Reception.
The UK Restaurant Manager of the Year 2020 will receive: a trophy, certificate and prestigious career-advancing training as well as invitations to top industry events. All finalists will be given the opportunity to be mentored throughout the year post-event by leading industry figures
Chair of judges John Cousins has the following advice for those competing on 6 January 2020: “Always have a good night’s sleep and ensure you have eaten before competing. Listen carefully to the briefings and ask questions if you are unsure. Develop a professional posture and always be well-groomed. Don’t be distracted by what other competitors are doing, and above all smile!”
