The Institute of Hospitality has confirmed endorsement for service culture and coaching training programmes offered by Doğuş Hospitality and Retail.
Doğuş Hospitality and Retail is one of eight major industrial sectors of the privately owned Doğuş Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Türkiye. The Doğuş Group owns more than 300 companies and has 22,000 employees operating in 38 countries across four continents, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America (USA).
The Food and Beverage Service Expert Training Programme is designed to provide professional skills and knowledge in all aspects of food and beverage service, from preliminary preparation to service steps, from sales techniques to handling difficult situations, in order to raise the quality of service offered to guests to the highest level. Delivered over five days (30 hours) the programme is aimed at restaurant and front-of-house teams including, waiters, bar staff and guest relations staff.
The Hospitality Leaders Coaching Programme is designed to improve the coaching skills of managers and to enable them to support the development of their teams through coaching and experiential learning through on-the-job coaching. The theoretical part is delivered over two days (12 hours) with additional practical application consisting of project work, a presentation, supervision meetings and in-field observation. The programme is aimed at team members in managerial positions with experience in the hospitality industry.
The “İZ” Hospitality Service Culture Training Programme is designed to develop and raise the values of courtesy, sincerity, empathy, flexibility, creativity, authenticity, and the relevant communication competencies and attitudes covered by these values which are necessary to provide guests with the highest level of quality and service. The term “İZ” means the mark and the programme slogan is “ “İZ” is us and we are Doğuş Hospitality and Retail.” Delivered over three days (18 hours) the programme is aimed at all employees of Doğuş Hospitality and Retail in Türkiye and defines their approach to service operations.
The Institute’s Professional Review Panel commended the programmes and, in particular:
- The research and consultation that went into the design and development of the training programmes.
- The detail provided in the lesson plans that indicate the programmes are very well planned.
- The mix of approaches (slides, video clips, role play and creative drama) used in the delivery of the programmes.
