IoH confirms endorsement for USA cleaning and hygiene product provider Diversey

The Institute of Hospitality has confirmed endorsement for 17 online video training courses specialising in cleaning and disinfection for housekeeping, laundry, and food and beverage teams offered by Diversey through the Typsy learning platform.

Diversey is an American provider of cleaning and hygiene products that has served the hospitality, healthcare, food and beverage, food service, retail, and facility management markets for over a century. With a global presence in over 100 countries, Diversey continues to create innovative cleaning products to meet the needs of the many industry sectors it serves.

Diversey has partnered with online learning provider Typsy to expand its offerings for the hospitality industry and to provide an on-demand training portfolio of cleaning and disinfection procedures to ensure the best possible outcome for guest experiences. The courses are for housekeeping teams, staff in food and beverage roles, and laundry teams and are aimed at individuals working in the hospitality industry keen to learn new skills, business owners and managers who train staff in one or many hospitality venues, and academics who teach hospitality students at a vocational school, college, or university.

The Institute’s Professional Review Panel commended the programmes and, in particular:

• The comprehensive coverage of all aspects of cleaning and disinfection within the industry
• The high quality and clarity of the videos
• The reinforcing at the end of a lesson of the key points
• The option for course materials to be downloaded
• The work-based nature of the exercises that are recommended to be completed by the participant for each course
• The clarity of the instructions for the assessments and the unlimited opportunities to retake an assessment in the event of failure.
