Following an IoH discussion and white paper on sustainability earlier this year, we took the topic of sustainability to Cardiff, where the Welsh government introduced a new law on 6 April 2024, that forces all businesses, charities, and public sector organisations in Wales and Scotland to separate their waste for recycling.
With similar legislation coming into force in England this year, the panel considered the learning points and challenges of the legislation roll-out and enforcement in Wales.
