New Management Guide – Employing Ex Offenders

12 December 2019

We are very pleased to announce the publication of another new Management Guide.

This newly published guide talks about employing ex offenders and how to make the right choice when doing so.

Covering the positives on why a business should employ ex-offenders as well as the drawbacks, with help from our friends at The Clink Charity, Employing Ex-Offenders also talks you through the graduation process.

Christopher Moore FIH, FRSPH, Chief Executive of The Clink Charity says,

“I was delighted to hear that the Institute of Hospitality have reviewed their management guide on employing ex-offenders or as we like to call them Clink Graduates. The hospitality industry is the fourth largest employer in the UK and one in eight new jobs last year were also in hospitality. The industry is continuing to grow and this has created a major skills shortage.  By employing men and women who have been released from prison having served their sentence and need and deserve a second chance I feel this is a credible solution to the skills shortage. A general manger of a London 5 star hotel told me recently that the Clink Graduates she employs are not only very loyal and highly trained but they also stay in post far longer than other employees. Please help us change attitudes, transform lives and create second chances.”
