Deputy Master of the Royal Household Edward Griffiths CVO FIH will be talking about ‘Service Excellence in the Royal Household’ at the forthcoming 3rd Annual Skills for Service Conference in Sheffield – and what a fascinating presentation it will be! Have you ever wondered how flawless service is provided to the Royal family and the household? Edward will share his insights about the service that occurs behind the palaces’ doors – although he won’t be sharing any ‘family’ secrets as discretion is paramount in his role – as it is in all hospitality roles.
Edward Griffiths joined the Royal Household in 2001 as Deputy Master, and is responsible for all Hospitality and Internal Operations, within the Occupied Palaces (Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse and St James’s Palace) and the private houses at Balmoral and Sandringham. Edward will discuss:
* An insight into “excellence in service” within the Royal Household
* Logistics and organising of state banquets and other grand occasions
* Staff training and recruitment
* Standards of service, personal appearance, manners, table presentation etc.
