The Institute’s CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI will speak at the 6th Conference on Managing Tourism Across Continents (MTCon), in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 30 April – 3 May 2025.
Joining a diverse group of educators and industry leaders from across the world, Robert will participate in expert panels to discuss various topics related to “Tourism for a Better World.”
MTCon has built a well-established international reputation; in 2024, it attracted over 600 attendees from 50 countries. The conference features a unique format that focuses specifically on tourism and hospitality topics and is co-chaired by Professor Roya Rahimi, Professor in Marketing and Leisure Management at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK, whose undergraduate degree programmes in international hospitality management, tourism management, and their postgraduate degree programme in international tourism and hospitality management are accredited by the Institue.
Commenting on his latest role on the international stage, IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI said, “I am delighted to join MTCon and discuss the impact of hospitality and tourism on global economies and communities. It will be a privilege to share ideas and concepts with academia and industry leaders. I am also excited to visit Türkiye, where we provided accreditation to Doğuş Hospitality and Retail last year and am looking forward to meeting many other representatives from the 24 countries where the Institute provides professional recognition for hospitality and tourism programmes.”
MTCon is organized by The Association of Turkish Tourism Academics (TUADER) with support from leading Turkish universities and global tourism experts, the conference highlights the significance of hospitality and tourism.
