A new charity single titled Always Open at Christmas has been released and is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The single, written by Chris Fletcher, Founder and CEO of Tech on Toast, and directed by Jeff Black, unites voices from across the hospitality sector in celebration of the people who keep the industry moving throughout the festive season.
The track was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, where the group formed for the first time and completed the entire project in just eight hours. Featuring musical arrangements by Conor Litten, the single reflects the warmth, collaboration and community spirit that define hospitality.
All proceeds from the single will support Hospitality Action and its work helping individuals and families across the sector facing financial hardship, mental health challenges and personal crisis.
Mark Lewis, Chief Executive of Hospitality Action, said, “We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in The Hospitality Choir for donating their time, talent and energy to record Always Open at Christmas. This wonderful project not only spreads festive cheer, but it also raises vital funds that help us continue supporting hospitality workers and their families who need it most. The generosity of the industry at this time of year truly means the world to us.”
Chris Fletcher added, “The hospitality industry has given me, my family, my friends and a career I love. Creating this single was our way of giving something back and celebrating the people who make this industry what it is. Recording at Abbey Road and watching an idea turn into reality in eight hours was unforgettable.”
Musical Director Jeff Black said, “Seeing people arrive as strangers and leave as a choir was remarkable. Their enthusiasm captured the true spirit of hospitality, warm, welcoming and full of heart.”
