Frontline Focus, part of our 2026 Year of Excellence, asks the questions that matter most to people working on the front line of hospitality.
For our August Frontline Focus, we once again invited our members to vote on the question they most wanted answered by an industry expert.
This month’s question with the most votes was: How can I create a psychologically safe workplace?
This question explores how leaders and teams can create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas, asking questions and raising concerns without fear of blame or judgement. It focuses on building trust, openness and a culture where everyone feels respected and able to contribute.
To explore this further, we caught up with Francesca Mosca MIH, DEIB Lead at the Institute of Hospitality, to share her insights.
Hear Francesca’s thoughts in the video below.
Look out for next month’s email survey and get involved. Your vote helps shape the questions we ask throughout the 2026 Year of Excellence.
