Frontline Focus, part of our 2026 Year of Excellence, asks the questions that matter most to people working on the front line of hospitality.
For our July Frontline Focus, we once again invited our members to vote on the question they most wanted answered by an industry expert.
This month’s question with the most votes was: How do I promote my work without sounding arrogant?
This question explores how to confidently share and market your achievements, skills, or creative work in a way that feels authentic and humble rather than boastful. It focuses on finding the balance between self-promotion and sincerity so others recognise your value without perceiving you as arrogant.
To explore this further, we caught up with Lizzie Grundy AIH, Vice Chair of the Institute of Hospitality Youth Council, to share her insights.
Hear what Lizzie had to say in the video below.
Look out for next month’s email survey and get involved. Your vote helps shape the questions we ask throughout the 2026 Year of Excellence.
