A team of over 35 Master Innholders has successfully completed a challenging 370-kilometre cycle from Reims, France to Kent, raising an incredible £135,000 for Hospitality Action.
The three-day ride, which began at Taittinger’s historic cellars in France and concluded at Domaine Evremond in England, brought together both experienced cyclists and first-time riders, united by their commitment to providing vital support to current and former hospitality professionals across the UK.
Now in its tenth year, the ride was made possible thanks to the continued support of headline sponsors Taittinger and Hatch Mansfield.
Receiving the cheque, Hospitality Action’s Chief Executive Mark Lewis FIH said: “Our recent Taking the Temperature survey revealed that three-quarters of respondents have experienced poor mental health in adulthood, with nearly a third affected in the past year alone.
He continued: “The funds raised by the Master Innholders will make a real difference in helping us support those individuals and many more who rely on our services. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part and went the distance on this demanding ride.”
A huge congratulations from everyone at the Institute to all those who took part and were involved behind the scenes on this incredible achievement.
