For the second year in a row, the prestigious Michelin Guide has awarded 1 star to Chef Stéphane Décotterd for ‘Stéphane Décotterd’, along with a 1 Bib Gourmand for Le Bistro by Décotterd, both part of the Maison Décotterd complex, located at the heart of the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland.
This runs alongside its recent award from The Swiss Gault & Millau guide, who once again awarded Stéphane Décotterd 18 points for his gourmet restaurant recognising the consistently high standards and exceptional talent of the Chef
Study placements for Glion students
Glion which operates campuses in London and Switzerland, runs two Bachelor’s degree courses, offering highly applied learning focused on the international hospitality and luxury industries, complemented by a year of professional internship experience.
Glion’s first-semester Bachelor students carry out a professional four weeks of placement at Maison Décotterd, alternating between the gourmet restaurant and its kitchen, the bistro and the bar. In the listing, the service – which includes students from Glion – was described as “precise, smiling and very professional”.

Opened in September 2020, the Maison Décotterd complex comprises four culinary areas: the gourmet restaurant Stéphane Décotterd, Le Bistro by Décotterd, the Bar and the Lounge, forming a veritable gastronomic destination in a spectacular setting.
The brand-new Lounge recently opened its doors in partnership with the prestigious cognac brand Louis XIII and Champagne Télmont. Here, guests can enjoy wines and spirits with spectacular views of the Alps and Lake Geneva.
Maison Décotterd is a member of the Relais & Châteaux Association, synonymous with excellence, as well as part of a worldwide network of 580 top-class hotels and restaurants.
