I’m In Episode 19 – The Importance of: The Front of House Manager
After 18 months of producing the podcast, we thought it would be interesting to start mixing things up a bit. Introducing our “Importance of” series where from time to time, we’ll take a look at a specific role within hospitality and discuss just how important it is.
So in our first one, step forward the Front of House Manager, a role that can exist in many forms throughout many types of hospitality businesses.
In this episode, helping Phil understand the importance of this role, we called upon the knowledge of three more wonderful IoH members; Jupiter Humphrey-Bishop AIH, Catrina Pengelley MIH and Adam Terpening FIH to talk about:
- What is a Front of House Manager?
- Where the Front of House Manager role exists
- The key attributes of a good Front of House Manager
- The knowledge and experience you should seek out to become a Front of House Manager
- The challenges of the role
- The career routes it can give you
As always, our guests also gave us their reasons for saying #imin to the IoH. They included: –
- The incredible support offered to the charity sector
- To develop and grow
- To stay networked
- Attend events
- Meet likeminded individuals
- Sharing knowledge
A huge thank you to our guests for giving up their time and knowledge
Enjoy!
