NAW 2022 | Delivering impact through apprenticeship levy transfer | Free event

7 February 2022

As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2022, #NAW2022, The London Progression Collaboration & Institute of Public Policy Research are holding a free online event called: Delivering impact through apprenticeship levy transfer, on Friday 11 February 2022 at 11:00 – 12:00 GMT.

Targeted at both large and small businesses, the event explores the impact that apprenticeship levy transfer can have. It will outline that Levy Transfer isn’t just about using unspent levy funds to pay for apprenticeships in smaller businesses. Levy Transfer can be a powerful tool in businesses’ Corporate Social Responsibility armoury, which can have a positive impact on small businesses, help individuals into meaningful jobs, and address skills shortages in the economy.

A panel discussion with large employers who have engaged in levy transfer will discuss the impact of making use of unspent levy funds. Small businesses will also discuss the benefits of receiving a levy transfer to fund their apprentices’ training while sharing their insights into the real-life impact of levy transfer. A Q&A session will follow.

The panel includes:

  • Jack Shaw – Senior Account Manager, London Progression Collaboration (chair)
  • Helen Jeffrey – Early Careers Manager, Mitie
  • Jonathan Foot – Head of Apprenticeships and Early Careers, Compass
  • Shilpi Verma – Managing Director, Christies Care Harrow

Who should attend this event?

It will be particularly useful and interesting for:

  • those working in Corporate and Social Responsibility, Human Resources and Learning & Development in large organisations
  • business owners, Human Resources and Learning & Development from smaller organisations
