Zoe brings more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the role, having built her career with Dorchester Collection. She first joined The Dorchester in 1981 as part of her industrial experience while studying for a BA in Hotel & Catering Administration, returning to the hotel after graduating to begin her career in Events and Banqueting.
Since joining Coworth Park as General Manager in 2010, Zoe has led its development as a leading luxury country house hotel in the UK, with a focus on creating an exceptional guest experience while developing the people and teams behind it.
Education will remain central to Zoe’s plans as Chair, with the Master Innholders continuing to build on existing initiatives including the Innholder Graduates Programme, Innholder Scholarships and the GM of the Future, the Neil Bannister Scholarship.
Commenting on her appointment as Chair, Zoe Jenkins MI said: “I am both honoured and humbled to accept the role of Chair of the Master Innholders. I recognise the responsibility that comes with this position, and the legacy of the many respected hoteliers who have held the role before me. James has done an outstanding job and I am excited to build on the strong foundations he has established.
“Having spent more than four decades in hospitality, I know first-hand how important the right opportunities can be in shaping a career. Creating pathways for talented people to develop, lead and succeed will be central to my time as Chair. I want us to continue giving people unique opportunities to learn, grow and discover what they are capable of, whatever stage of their career they are at.”
With the appointment of Zoe as Chair, the Master Innholders have also announced the appointment of Francisco Macedo FIH IS MI, Chief Operating Officer at Wilderness Reserve, as Vice Chair of the Master Innholders.
Both an Innholder Scholar and Master Innholder and previous chair of the Hotel Leadership Conference, Francisco brings more than 25 years’ experience leading luxury hotels, resorts, private clubs and complex hospitality businesses across the UK, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
