The Forum helps guide the magazine’s editorial content, bringing together hospitality professionals to identify the subjects, developments and people that should be featured.
On his appointment, Robin Sheppard FIH, retired former President of Bespoke Hotels, said: “It is a great pleasure to join the Institute of Hospitality’s Magazine Editorial Forum, and I am excited at the opportunity to shape, debate and report investigative news. The IoH continues to go from strength to strength and is increasingly recognised as the voice of authority in our industry.”
James McComas FIH, General Manager of Eastwell Manor, Champneys Hotel and Spa, said: “I’m delighted to join the Institute of Hospitality Magazine Editorial Forum. The magazine is a powerful platform for sharing ideas, championing excellence and showcasing the people who make our industry so special. I look forward to contributing to its continued success and helping amplify the voice of hospitality.”
The appointments follow Brenda Collin FIH’s decision to step down from the Forum after four successful years. Brenda is Executive Vice President Europe at Preferred Travel Group and an IoH Trustee.
Announcing the changes, the Institute’s CEO, Robert Richardson FIH MI Hon DLitt, said: “On behalf of the Institute, I would like to thank Brenda for the considerable time, experience and insight she has contributed to the Magazine’s Editorial Forum over the past four years. Her input has been greatly valued by everyone involved.”
Outgoing IoH Magazine editor, Catherine Chetwynd MIH, commented: “The strength of the magazine comes from the range of experience, ideas and constructive challenges provided by the Forum. Its members help us examine important issues from different perspectives and maintain a strong editorial focus.”
Incoming editor, Katherine Price MIH, agrees: “Robin and James bring considerable leadership and operational experience from different roles and perspectives across the hospitality industry. I look forward to drawing on their knowledge as we plan future editions and continue to strengthen the magazine.”
