Another little extra treat for you this month as we got three more awesome humans from within the membership to discuss what the rest of 2022 could look like for Hospitality.

Phil was joined by Jess Oliver AIH, Andrew Coney FIH and giving us a view of what is happening overseas, the wonderful Virat Varma FIH, all the way from India.  All three also gave some compelling reasons as to why they said #imin to the IOH.

Despite some of the horrible things going on in the world right now, this was a wonderfully upbeat conversation.  We covered off items such as: –

• Bounce Back has been strong, even now in cities
• Hospitality remains so important to everyone
• The foundations are set to spring forward, with strong rates and rising occupancy in UK and international hotels
• International travel will start to improve as more borders and restrictions are released
• In person experience is already on the up, demand is very high
• General confidence around health risks is improving
• If it wasn’t already before, hygiene is high up the list of priorities for travellers
• People are more open to opportunity
• Rise in International Boutique Hotels investment
• The platinum Jubilee will play a huge role in the UK and beyond this year
• A continued focus on sustainability
• Improvement in the wellbeing of the team
• More and more people getting creative where we find people for this wonderful industry
