With last year’s students attending from across the UK and overseas, including Dubai and the Netherlands, this year’s event is hoped to reach an even wider global audience, with a re-energised programme and some exciting new additions, thanks to the support from The Savoy Educational Trust.
For the first time, P4H has launched its search for the Best Student Paper. Open to all hospitality students, the closing date for submissions will be 9am on 1 November 2023, with the winner announced and set to receive their award at the event.
This year, the Careers Exhibition will take centre stage, with over fifty businesses on-site including:
P4H has welcomed thousands of young, talented hospitality students since it first opened its doors in 2011 as Sarah Peters FIH IoH Head of Commercial Development and Events recalls: “Every year, P4H gets better and better, partly because we listen to the attendees and act on their suggestions and ideas. This makes P4H a very agile and exciting event, and one which we are immensely proud of. We are always encouraged by the number of young people who thank us for providing them with ideas, professional contacts and guidance, as well as the career and networking opportunities that really helps them on their way”.
She continued: “This year’s programme is extremely exciting and even more relevant for those new entrants who are looking to make their career in our amazing hospitality industry. With employment workshops, job talks, interview practice, a CV surgery and so much more, P4H2023 will be an incredibly interactive careers exhibition and conference. I can’t wait for all the attendees to feel inspired by the passion we all have for the industry and make many new lifelong connections.”
As Robert Richardson FIH MI commented: “The team has worked hard this year to evolve the industry’s flagship student event and have really added dynamism to the day. Combining thought leadership, networking, advice, and the chance to meet some great employers in one go, I’m sure we will have an extremely rewarding exhibition and conference. With so many universities, colleges and individuals already registered, it’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm out there for the industry.”
The popular and demanding HOTS (Hotel, Operations, Tactics and Strategy) Business Game also returns this year and promises to be a hard-fought competition.
