Only A Pavement Away is a charity founded by representatives from the hospitality industry who believe that everyone deserves the chance to find and forge a career.
Only A Pavement Away aims to help those who are facing or at risk of homelessness including prison leavers and veterans, find employment in the hospitality industry.
Robert was delighted to join the advisory team of such an important and worthwhile charity… he said:
“Someone wiser than me once said “We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop” and the same would be true for our #HospitalityFamily without the efforts of ‘Only a Pavement Away’.
Homelessness in the UK has been on the rise for the past five years, and as we come out of the greatest challenge our industry has faced in generations, we do so in the knowledge that never has our need for people and talent been greater, and if we can fill our vacancies whilst putting a roof back over someone’s head, then that is to be applauded.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to join the team and make that aspiration a reality.”
