The Institute of Hospitality is flying the flag for National Apprenticeship Week from 7-13 February 2022 with a range of apprenticeship case studies, recorded seminars and news announcements. Ending the week with a special edition of the newly launched, IoH Fellows Broadsheet published on Sunday 13 February 2022.
Speaking about the importance of apprenticeships, Robert Richardson FIH, IoH CEO explained: “Employing and nurturing talent through apprenticeships is key to the success of our national UK talent pool. Inspiring these young people to develop themselves and grow their skills is incredibly rewarding.
“I’ve seen this first hand” continued Robert. “The IoH employed two apprentices last year, the first time in our history and already their growth and contribution to the business are apparent. I would encourage businesses of all sizes to consider this pathway.”
Sam Coulstock FIH MIEP, IoH Head of Professional Development agrees: “We work with a number of key apprenticeship providers who offer well-structured apprenticeship programmes that continue to make a considerable difference to individual’s lives, careers and businesses. Getting new blood into the industry utilising this route is a no-brainer.”
