Around 3,000 hospitality professionals, friends and family attended the London Hospitality Festival on 9 September, a fun day out that raises money for industry charities.
More than 65 football and softball teams competed, with teams coming from businesses across London. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge were crowned winners of the football tournament and the team from the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill won the softball tournament.
It was the tenth edition of the event, which is organised by Paul Gilley FIH of CC Festivals. He said: “This year had a lovely atmosphere with the music in the background. I think next year we will make more of the music festival so that even more people from our industry can enjoy the day.”
Gilley is a member of the Institute’s Supervisory Board and the Institute of Hospitality is delighted to support this important event each year and raise money for the charities Springboard, Hospitality Action, House of St Barnabus and the Institute of Hospitality.
Next year’s event is on Sunday 8 September 2019 at King’s House Sports Ground, Chiswick
