IoH Northern Ireland Awards for Professionalism 2023 | Winners announced

The 26th IoH Northern Ireland Awards for Professionalism 2023 took place last Friday (8 September) at the stunning Culloden Hotel and Spa in Belfast.

Over 350 hospitality professionals attending the glittering event, hosted by Irish TV personality, Pamela Ballantine.

The event started with speeches from IoH Northern Ireland Chair Aaron Logan MIH and IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI, followed by a delicious 3 course meal.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the awards themselves.

The winners were:

Contract Catering Manager of the Year Kirsty Ferris, The Mount Charles Group

Front of House Manager of the Year Cecelia Holloway, Killeavy Castle Estate

General Manager of the Future Shea Clarke, The Merchant Hotel Belfast

Hospitality Management Team of the Year Hastings Europa Hotel

Hotelier of the Year Mike Gatt Maldron Hotel Belfast City

Housekeeping Manager of the Year Jess McKelvie, Hilton Hotel Belfast

Independent Chef of the Year Arthur Fron, 2Taps Winebar

Lecturer of the Year Keith Campbell, Southern Regional College

Operational Manager of the Year Callum Dickson, Hastings Europa Hotel

Outstanding Apprentice of the Year Dylan Murphy, Greedy Gorb & SERC

Restauranteur of the Year Nail McKenna, Waterman House

Student Management of the Year Claire ward Southern Regional College

Supplier of the Year David Jordan, Henderson Foodservice

Following the awards, guests were then entertained by Scottish bagpipe rockband, Drums N’ Roses who had everyone dancing in their seats (and around the tables!).
