Marissa Renuka Jayamanne FIH, CEO at Hospitality Management Consultancy and former Chair of Institute of Hospitality Sri Lanka, and Rory Slater FIH MI, Managing Director Como Hotels and Resorts, London have joined the Institute of Hospitality’s Board of Trustees.
Welcoming both to the Board, Institute of Hospitality CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Marissa and Rory to our Board of Trustees. Both bring a wealth of outstanding hospitality experience, across the UK and internationally. Marissa successfully led IoH Sri Lanka through a period of unprecedented challenge and transformation, while Rory has overseen the management of prestigious properties in both London and China, demonstrating exceptional leadership. I have no doubt that their combined insight and expertise will bring significant value to the Institute as we look ahead to our 90th Anniversary and continue our journey towards achieving Chartered status.”

Marissa, recipient of the CEOs award at the Institute of Hospitality Annual Awards in 2023 and former Chair of IoH Sri Lanka, is a seasoned hospitality professional with over three decades of experience across hotels, consultancy, and industry leadership. As CEO of Hospitality Management Consultancy, she has supported the development of hospitality education, training, and strategic business solutions across Asia and the Middle East and has been a driving force in promoting professional standards and cross-border collaboration within the sector.
Marissa commented: “I am honoured to step into the role of Trustee of the Institute of Hospitality. I am ready to give back, lead forward, and support the future of global hospitality.”
Rory is an accomplished hospitality leader with over 25 years’ international experience across luxury hotel operations, training, and senior management. Currently Managing Director of Como Hotels and Resorts in London, his career has included executive roles in China, the UK, and Southeast Asia, giving him a truly global perspective in nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals.
