Another month passes and 3 more wonderful people from within the IoH ranks joined Phil Street MIH to chat job hunting under the banner of New Year, New Job, New You.
Katariina Reissaar AIH, Front office Manager with Jurys Inn Hotel Group, Mike Wood MIH, General Manager & Director at Hempstead House and Liz McGivern FIH, Vice President of people and culture at Red Carnation Hotel Group all joined Phil for a lively chat.
As always, Phil learned why our guests said #imin as well covering off some great points for the headline topic such as, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side (but it can be), it’s important that you communicate your position internally before seeking a move away but important that the company communicates their position clearly too, unseen opportunity can be uncovered, employers should keep strong links with other businesses in their given area, ensure that you know what you do want, find your purpose, research the company, seek some trusted advice, know your values, nail the basics and make sure you back up any new year’s resolutions with actions.
