In our latest global survey, we are delighted to report that 89% of our members consider that we provide an inclusive and welcoming professional community. A result that reinforces the Institute’s leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as its role as the world’s largest professional body for hospitality.

Members also confirmed that IoH resources, such as live events and the Institute of Hospitality Magazine, remain essential to their professional growth and connection.
Releasing the results, the Institute’s CEO, Robert Richardson FIH MI, explained: “Our mission is to champion professionalism and lifelong learning for everyone working in hospitality. This year’s survey confirms that our members value what we do and the way we communicate. It also shows how strongly they recognise our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Creating a truly welcoming and representative community is essential for the future of our industry. By embracing different cultures, ideas and experiences, we strengthen hospitality on a global scale and ensure it remains a rewarding and inspiring career for people everywhere. The Institute continues to set industry standards and build a strong global network, providing mentoring, education and professional recognition in more than 70 countries and has over 16,000 members from students and apprentices to senior industry leaders.
Insights from this year’s survey will inform new initiatives aimed at strengthening professional recognition, enhancing member value, and supporting DEIB initiatives.
