Established in 1994, Harrison Catering Services are an independent, family-owned company with over 2000 employees providing high quality catering services for schools, colleges, and businesses across the country. Founder and Chairman, Geoffrey Harrison’s vision to offer best value catering services without compromising on quality, rely on the founding principles of using fresh, healthy, nutritious, and responsibly sourced ingredients, and cooking over 90% of meals on-site from scratch.
The Harrison Work Experience Programme has been delivered successfully since 2013 and aims to ensure the planning and delivery of first-class placements in those businesses in which Harrison Catering Services operates. It also aims to provide meaningful work experience placements for people in the local communities. Learners of all ages are welcome to participate in the programme and include school pupils Year 10 and above, college catering students, neurodiverse / SEND people, and adults returning to work.

In addition to The Harrison Work Experience Programme, five e-learning modules offered to employees via the Harrison Learning Hub were endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality in August 2021. The modules encompass legislative compliance and regulatory training subjects such as Food Allergens, GDPR, Health and Safety Level 2, Modern Slavery, and The Bribery Act. A further nine e-learning modules were endorsed in August 2023, including: Conducting Disciplinary, Grievance and Investigations – DGI, Craft Bites – Salads and Salad Bars, Eat Well Live Well, Email Security, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, The Harrison Guide to Environmentally Friendly Working Practices, The Harrison Guide to Pre-Packed Food for Direct Sale – PPDS, The Harrison SMILE, and Welcome Module – Managers.
