Speaking about the change, Robert Richardson FIH MI said: “The IoH Cymru (Wales) region is a long-standing part of the Institute and their work in helping support our Welsh regional members to date has been considerable. I would like to thank Ifty for his dedication and commitment as outgoing chair and welcome Thomas into the role. I’m sure he will build on the wonderful work already completed.”
Speaking about his appointment, Thomas said: “I am delighted to be taking on the position of IoH Cymru Chair. The IoH has an important role to play in the success of the Welsh hospitality sector, and I am looking forward to working with the dedicated IoH Cymru team to build on the excellent work already achieved.
The success of our industry is dependent on the ability of the industry to engage with its communities and inspire its future workforce, which will be a key focus for us going forward” he concluded.
Supporting IoH members to prosper, grow and promote the industry as a career and Wales as a destination of choice, the local IoH Cymru region also has a thriving IoH Cymru Student Group, focused on nurturing, encouraging and supporting new talent in the industry.
