I’m In Episode 17 – Building Remote Teams is exclusively available for IoH members to listen to today!
Post Covid, there has obviously been a seismic shift towards more remote and hybrid working within an office environment. Truthfully speaking, there was a rising trend towards this even before Covid induced lockdowns kicked in.
But how do we build teams remotely as this is a relatively new ask of leaders.
To unpack this, Phil was joined by Katie Murray AIH (and her wonderful pooch, Brick), Andoni Sanchez MIH and Liz Hartstone FIH.
As always, Phil kicked off by asking his guests as to why they said “I’m In” to the IoH:-
- It is our duty
- Giving back
- Networking
- It’s the place to be if you are a hospitality professional
- The learning resources available
- The Events
- The projects
And then they got stuck into the topic at hand. Some of the elements they covered were:-
- The definition of what a remote worker is
- Do we have to accept that remote working is here to stay?
- The fairness of remote working on those who can’t
- Individual requirements
- How to make remote team building a success both from the business’s perspective and the individuals
- How to combat isolation
- The changing face of working attitudes
Along with a whole lot more.
A huge thank you to our guests for giving up their time and opinion.
Enjoy!
