“There is an ongoing case with HMRC where the tax authority is questioning whether accommodation for staff should be exempt from employment taxes.
This is an issue that could have severe repercussions across the sector, resulting in an increased tax liability. We have therefore devised the following survey to gauge the use of this practice and to see whether it is customary in the hotel sector.
There are only five questions and we think this should take no more than one minute to complete. The results will be extremely useful for our ongoing lobbying in this area.
We would request that you could complete this survey by Tuesday 5th February as we have a hard deadline to respond to HMRC.”
