The UK Management Development Programme aims to develop a select group of talented, nationally mobile individuals and give them an intensive development opportunity to be running their own Food & Beverage/Front Office or Conference & Events department within 18 months.
What does the Programme cover?
- UK MDP consists of an 18-month training program, which includes two placements (each lasting 9 months) in 2 different locations in the UK.
- Following successful completion of the 18 month programme, you will be appointed as an Assistant Head of Department or Head of Department in one of our hotels (subject to scale)
- During your placements, you will experience the Food &Beverage and Front Office operations, whilst also getting exposure to supporting departments.
- You will participate in group modules and have business driven projects to complete.

L+R Hotels – Fast Track Management in Training Programme
An unsurpassed in-depth experience of the hotel business in just 18 months. You’ll spend six months in a city hotel, country hotel and beach/resort hotel. With training in two departments at each location, you’ll cover: Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage, Events, Human Resources, Finance & Accounting and Rooms Division. There will be even more opportunities to learn, through a variety of interactive seminars presented by our knowledgeable hospitality experts and our bespoke L+R Hotels Learning Management System.
As a Management Trainee, you will be assigned one of our experienced General Managers as mentor for the duration of your programme. You will work on a business-focused project, presenting it to L+R Hotels executives at the end of the programme. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be offered a Junior Manager role at one of our L+R Hotels.
Our next intake will start in April 2020. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and EU, we do not sponsor visas. You do not have to be a hospitality student or have any relevant experience to apply for this role.
