Each year WRAP hosts a member summit exclusively for the Courtauld Signatories to hear about progress and best practice in different areas of the food and drink industry.
This year, they have decided to open up to some of the sessions to a wider audience to give you the opportunity to hear from WRAP and industry representatives.
This session (two of two) will give a taster of where WRAP are now – and where they are projected to be – in terms of water security for food production, and what this could mean for food and drink businesses. They will explore the concept of developing a Roadmap towards water security and hear different business perspectives on the value of working together to ensure more sustainable management of this critical resource.
Discussion topics will include:
- Key issues & stats: physical, commercial and reputational risks facing UK food and drink businesses linked to water needs in their supply chains
- How do food & drink businesses view this challenge – is it high on the agenda, and why?
- Steps businesses can practically take to reduce their exposure to water risks
- Proposals & next steps for developing a new Roadmap towards Water Security for Food & Drink Supply
The panel will include speakers from: Co-op, Kepak, M&S, Nestle, Tesco and Worldwide Fruit.
