Are you… Struggling to recruit the right people? Having problems with managing millennials?
Or, once you find the right people, are you retaining them?
The IoH Midlands Branch invites you to join them to find out what businesses are doing to attract new team members and how they then keep them. Also hear from today’s candidates about what they look for in an employer. Learn and share top tips on how you can overcome these and other obstacles our industry faces today.
At this event, we aim to reveal the secrets to these very common problems and give you exclusive access to TWO very unique opportunities…
Firstly, we are excited to welcome Andrew Mosley FIH, GM of The Grand Hotel Brighton and winner of the 2019 Catey Award for Best Hospitality Employer, who will give us an insight into how they won this award and what they’ve done to inspire their teams.
Secondly, we will be hosting a Q&A panel discussion with students from University College Birmingham, asking them to share their experiences in the industry so far. We will ask what excites them about hospitality and find out first- hand what we need to do as managers and employers to entice them to work for us and how we can keep them in the industry!
All this alongside a visit from one of the region’s best chefs; Mike Bullard, chef-owner of the Butchers Social in Henley in Arden who will be speaking at the event, sharing his experience on how he approaches recruitment and retention in his business.
This event promises to be an educational, informative and enjoyable afternoon with our fabulous guest speakers, the student panel and an opportunity to network with Midlands Branch members, meet the committee members and find out what’s happening within the Branch and industry… so please join us.
Whether you are a member of the Institute or not, you are very welcome at this event. The ticket price is just £10 for non-members, and it is a complimentary event for members.
