The Clink training project sets an inspiring model as to how to change attitudes, transform lives and creating second chances.
The Sussex Branch is delighted to invite all Fellows, Members, Associates and guests to lunch in the Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down on October 4th 2019 and mark the 10th anniversary year of this wonderful charity.
Your meal will be cooked and served by prisoners training towards gaining their accredited qualifications.
A drink on arrival, followed by a tour of the facilities and a 3 course lunch with coffee will cost only £37.50 ph payable in advance.
In the 10 years the Clink Charity Project has established 5 restaurants and trained prisoners with compassion, professionalism and integrity to industry standards. The programme offers them a real chance to return to the community with the ability to turn their lives around.
The programme’s success and ongoing mentoring has resulted in significantly reduced re offending rates through the training and rehabilitation of prisoners as well as providing skilled operators to the Hospitality Industry.
“The Clink provides prisoners with an opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications in catering and horticulture. They then support the graduates to help them secure accommodation upon release”.
