Many businesses have a food safety policy (SFBB), with maybe one page included for allergens. Caroline will be talking about the importance of a food allergy policy, both internally and adapted for external use.
Having a food allergy policy will ensure your staff are aware of all the procedures and processes in place to ensure a safe FreeFrom customer journey when dining within your business. This could include, but not limited too, the initial booking, menu creation, ordering, food preparation to customer feedback.
Caroline will talk about having an internal policy for staff and adapting this to be externally posted on your website to sign post to potential customers what is available for them on your menu. The policy will spell out what can and cannot be possible for their dietary requirements and make them aware how you can provide for them #LetsTalkAllergens
