Visiting New York City soon? Instead of your usual choice of accommodation, why not check out one of the city’s stunning new hotel openings?

2010 is proving to be an exciting year for NYC hotel growth with the addition of some 20 new hotels representing 6,800 new rooms, taking the city’s hotel inventory to nearly 87,000 rooms.

The varied range of new properties includes World Center Hotel with its panoramic views of the rising Freedom Tower and the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum; and Setai Fifth Avenue, a luxury new-build skyscraper operated by Capella Hotels & Resorts. Starwood’s Aloft brand is due to open in Harlem and Brooklyn in the coming months.  The majority of hotel development is concentrated in the west side of Manhattan, Lower Manhattan as well as Brooklyn and Queens.
