Market your accessibility for free

iphone_grabAccessible hotels, restaurants and pubs can now register their services on official websites for nothing, resulting in free marketing to a customer base with spending power of more than £2 billion a year.

The Greater London Authority’s (GLA) InclusiveLondon.com website provides a range of information to people with access needs, including those with disabilities, older people and parents with young children and buggies (Visit Britain’s At Your Service report says that the disabled market alone is worth £2billion a year).  A free iphone app is also available for users to locate accessible places while on the move around London.  Businesses outside the capital can register click here.

Grant Kennedy, managing director of Direct Enquiries, the consultancy that designed the service, said: "Businesses can register basic information free of charge and upgrade to detailed information and audits by contacting Direct Enquiries.  All organisations are looking to maximise footfall and revenue opportunities. Opening your doors to people with specific access requirements will go a long way to achieving maximum growth."

Since launching in March 2011 inclusivelondon.com has received more than seven million hits.
