Institute of Hospitality contributes to Exclusive Hotel’s fund-raising success

PR_DPOn 23 and 24 July the Institute of Hospitality’s chief executive Philippe Rossiter FIH ran an extraordinary 100km to raise money for charity.  Exclusive Hotels, the family-run collection of country house hotels, is celebrating 30 years in business this year. To mark this achievement, the hotel group has set itself the ambitious goal of raising £30,000 for the industry charity Springboard UK and another £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The money is being raised by participants cycling or running 30,000 kilometres between Exclusive’s collection of six properties in the south of England.

Hospitality is about engaging customers’ and staff’s imagination and turning it into something truly unique.  The 30thirty30 journey is a truly unique journey in every sense,” says Danny Pecorelli FIH, managing director of Exclusive Hotels.  The campaign looks set to exceed its ambitious goals.  More than £55,000 has already been raised and donations can be made until the end of the year.

The programme of fund-raising events continues with three 5km fun-runs starting at 2pm on:

  • Sunday 7 August  - Lainston House Hotel, Winchester, Hampshire
  • Monday 29 August – Fanhams Hall Hotel, Ware, Hertfordshire
  • Sunday 11 September – Pennyhil Park Hotel and The Spa, Bagshot, Surrey
