It seems a long time since the HA Forum was held in November but it has not been wasted time.
While the Forum in the main was concerned with the benefits of using of the standard we have been following up on the open session when clients were invited to provide feedback on how they felt that the standard might be improved.
The strands from the discussion were threefold and related to the standard itself, assessment to the standard and the applications and cost benefit analysis of use of the standard.
Some of the points raised were those expressed in the survey undertaken lst year but one or two new and interesting proposals were forthcoming so we formed a review team made up of invited clients from the hotel, conference, education, health and facility management sectors who had gone through in the main several assessments as well as long standing advisors on the scheme.
This group met in February and considered the varying points raised in relation to the application of the standard as well as the possibility of potential revisions to the standard. These are now to be considered in light of further discussions with the British Quality Foundation and the assessment body.
Of this more shortly!.
