Notice is hereby given that the Sixth Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Hospitality will be held on Tuesday 29th May 2012 at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel 225 Edgware Road, London, W2 1JU commencing at 11.00am to consider the following business:
1 To approve the minutes of the Fifth Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Hospitality held on 7th June 2011
2 To receive and consider the Trustees Annual Report and approve the Accounts for the year ended 31st December 2011.
3 To receive the results of the elections to Council and to note the composition of the Executive Council for the coming year
4 To appoint Mazars as Auditors and to authorise the Executive Council to approve their remuneration

The awards take place at the Institute of Hospitality’s Annual Lunch on 29 May at the Hilton London Metropole. Winners are recognised for their performance during the calendar year 2011. You all have great teams and are great advocates for excellence and the Hospitality Assured standard. Don’t hide your lights under a bushel! We are looking for Hospitality Assured users to nominate in the following categories:
Champion of the year
The winner of this award will be an individual identified by Hospitality Assured from nominations as promoting the benefits of the standard most effectively internally and/or externally.

Team of the year
The winner of this award will be the team identified by Hospitality Assured from client nominations as going the extra mile in their efforts to achieve greater customer satisfaction standard most effectively either internally and/or externally.

The dates and venues for the Institute of Hospitality’s 2012 Regional Management Briefings have been finalised. These high quality half-day seminars are an excellent way for managers and aspiring managers to get up-to-speed on the latest operational issues affecting the hospitality sector. The seminars include a range of expert speakers and are run by the Institute in association with the British Hospitality Association, the Master Innholders, and Springboard UK. They have been spread across the UK and over the year as far as possible. Here are the dates and venues:
