Free Helpline and Website
Members (MIH) and Fellows (FIH) of the Institute have one free telephone call per calendar year to BusinessHR's Advice Line should they have questions regarding such human resources issues as oversight of redundancies, employment contracts, applying TUPE, etc. A specially reduced rate for the Advice Line is offered to all members of the Institute. In addition, members at all levels are encouraged to review the FREE employment and HR resources available to them on the BusinessHR website. See: BusinessHR

CV Writing, Training and Career Development Resources
There are a number of resources available to assist with writing CVs and covering letters. More personalised professional services usually charge a fee for assistance. Institute members can access professional services provided by Proteus Consultancy Ltd at a reduced rate. There are also services that are "do it yourself" and offer free CV templates. Continuing Professional Development
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the term for a framework of lifelong learning and development activities, which contributes to an individual's continued effectiveness as a professional. The Institute requires all of its members to engage in CPD activities to ensure that they continue to represent the Institute as competent and knowledgeable professionals in their chosen specialist fields. Members are encouraged to keep a log of their CPD activities using the Extended CV.
